Don’t panic …We’re here to help.

Where is it held?

Often held in a lovely hotel room with a theme or colour design choice of the mum-to-be. With banners, table settings, balloons and ribbons.

Botantical and Natural hues are both equally on trend right now so think Sage Green and Gold. White with jungle or Safari vibes. Creams/Whites and Coffee colours with Bears. These are both great theme ideas.

For smaller intimate gatherings at home perhaps might be something the expectant mum would rather have.

Friends and Family Together

A baby shower is a coming together of friends and family of the expectant Mum. If she is still working, normally it will be her colleagues that arrange a Maternity Leave party.

It’s a lovely and informal gathering. Traditionally an afternoon tea or little party. Outside perhaps if the weather permits, where you will spend time together. Then play a few baby related games and present gifts to her. The real magic comes from the love and excitement shared in the room.

Pause and Celebrate

One of the loveliest things about a baby shower is the chance to pause and celebrate before life gets busier with a newborn. Its not just about the gifts (though they are always appreciated!) – its about surrounding the parents-to-be with encouragement, laughter and a little bit of pampering.

The gift is generally taken to give to the expectant mum. It can be a practical gift that you remember using with your children or something someone has mentioned the mum wanted. Or perhaps club together with other guests for something a little larger she needs.

Afternoon tea itself generally consists of sandwiches, scones, cupcakes, tea or coffee. Then of course there maybe something a little more fizzy…. alcohol free for Mum to Be of course!. After all of that, there is the centrepiece of  a Nappy Cake and that’s where we can help.

Unisex Elephant Nappy Cake

The choices of gift is vast, with lovely baby clothes, practical products, gorgeous blankets or a huge centrepiece.. Another thing to keep in mind is that every baby shower is unique. Some are traditional with games, ribbons, and a big cake. Others are more modern, a relaxed brunch, a picnic in the park, or even a simple virtual gathering so loved ones from afar can join in.

The best baby showers reflect the personality of the parents-to-be and make them feel truly celebrated.

All presents can be given the ‘wow’ factor with bows and ribbons. Blues and Pinks for Boys and Girls. More unisex colours like Cream, White or Gold.

The choice of colours and designs are endless and friends and colleagues will find it hard to pick which design they love the best!
